Crews are removing hazard trees beyond the closure points as part of seasonal work to prepare the highway for reopening.
Do not bypass gates or closure signs. Entering the closed area creates a serious safety risk due to active tree removal and heavy equipment operations.
The earliest possible opening day each year is the third Monday in June, when the highway opens to all vehicle traffic.
